The Post House restoration has conserved and boldly exposed the original colonial elements that make it so unique; throughout you can see components of the distinctive primitive split slab construction method. Hand cut shingles can be viewed from the dining table. But don’t worry, ducted heating and cooling will ensure you can take in glimpses of yesteryear immersed in the comforts of modern life.

The Post House itself is a testament to resilience, having survived since 1842 and withstood periods of neglect and abandonment, whilst simultaneously weathering the unpredictable forces of nature. That she still stands today at all is nothing short of remarkable. She has persisted quietly through some very hard times and the redemption arc of her story has finally arrived. Let her inspire you.
